Learning English in England is full of so many benefits and you are guaranteed to master the language faster than learning back at home. A simple visit to a museum, buying your groceries or ordering a meal are helping you practice and perfect your fluency every day! You meet native English speakers everyday wherever you go but a good way to ensure you are mixing with locals is to join a club in the city.
One of our students, Giaele, has shown great initiative and decided to join a local knitting club to mix with local Liverpudlians and to improve her English in a natural, fun environment. We asked her a few questions about it:
There are many clubs across Liverpool that are open to new members. Whether you have a skill you wish to continue practicing or you’re interested in learning something totally new, it is one of the best ways to experience Liverpool like a local and practice English on the go!
We have listed some examples of clubs you could join whilst you’re studying in Liverpool.

Knitting: Why not follow Giaele’s example and give knitting a try? It is just up the road from school and every Tuesday evening!

Sketching: Liverpool Urban Sketcher’s are a brilliant group to join because as well as meeting people and practicing your drawing skills, you will have many souvenirs of the city to keep forever or to send to friends!
