English Christmas time might be cold but at least this gives us a reason to wear our favourite Christmas jumpers! The opportunity to wear a Christmas jumper makes the cold winter weather worthwhile… well, we think so anyway! We love Christmas jumpers so much in England that across the country, hundreds of schools, shops and companies taking part in the national CHRISTMAS JUMPER DAY which uses the fun occasion to raise money for charities close to their hearts.

The Liverpool School of English has been supporting the charity ‘Change a Child’s Life’ and all of the wonderful work that they do for the children and their communities in Africa. Over the years we have made donations, sent out resources from stationary to computers, and have also committed ourselves to sponsoring four of children in their studies from the stage of their current education to university level!

The festive season is without a doubt a time to have fun and look silly in a Christmas jumper but it is also a time to share and to give to those in need. Everyone taking part in the Christmas jumper fun – whether wearing or watching – were invited to make a contribution to ‘Change a Child’s Life’, a very worthy cause.

To top off our Christmas jumper fun-day we had a special competition between our students. The best Christmas jumper to win an amazing £50 Liverpool One shopping Centre voucher! We bet they will be buying themselves another Christmas jumper with that prize money!

If you wish to make a donation to ‘Change a Child’s Life’, we have boxes at reception where you can make your donation! Why not visit their FACEBOOK PAGE and give them a like?

A very merry Christmas to everyone from LSE!
