It’s easy to see why Liverpool is known as one of the world’s great music cities and we always say you can find live music every night… but is it true?

Our Marketing Director, Sarah, set us a challenge to prove it!

Monday – Baltic Social, Parliament Street.

For something different on a Monday night, try The Baltic Social for The Baltic Sessions. They have special guests every week from 8:00pm and it’s a good reason to go and explore what’s new at the Baltic Triangle.

Tuesday – LEAF, Bold Street.

LEAF encourages local artists to get ‘out of the bedroom’ and onto the stage at their open mic night every Tuesday from 8:30pm. The night is hosted by Johnny Sands who recently played at the Mersey River Festival.

Wednesday – The Magnet, Hardman Street.

The Magnet’s open mic night has a different host each week with featured slots from local acts and resident DJs, The Medicine Men. It starts at 8:00pm and you can listen to some tracks from various hosts here:

Thursday – Mathew Street.

Mathew Street is full of live music so you could do a bit of a pub crawl to find your new favourite artist. Visit Lennon’s Bar from 7:00pm and then try SGT Peppers Bar before finishing the night at the Cavern Club.

Friday – Hard Day’s Night Hotel, North John Street.

You can relax and unwind at Bar Four within the Hard Day’s Night Hotel from 7:00pm. You don’t have to be staying at the hotel to enjoy the Live Lounge acoustic sets and the whole hotel is full of Beatles memorabilia.

Saturday – Heebie Jeebies, Seel Street.

Heebie Jeebies is a popular choice for our students on Pub Night but did you know that they offer live music every Saturday afternoon? Johnny Sands presents The Acoustic Courtyard Sessions 3:00-6:00pm and there’s even some free food!

Sunday – Hannah’s, Leece Street.

Do you know St. Luke’s church? Otherwise known as the ‘bombed out church’? Hannah’s Bar is next door to it on Leece Street. Hannah’s has live music from Sunday to Thursday after 9:00pm. Treat yourself to a cocktail with a special Hannah’s twist while you listen.
