As you all know, school will be closed during Christmas and New Year. However, this shouldn’t stop you from having fun and enjoying your time while you’re here. There are a lot of interesting places with a cosy Christmas vibe to visit in Liverpool. Here is a list of things to do during Christmas and they will be published on our Instagram page. You can join the Whatsapp group that we made for you to contact each other and organise some meet ups and visit the places that we have mentioned on our Instagram page.

Moose Coffee. You can have a very generous plate of American pancakes with some extras on the side with a delicately made fresh coffee as well.

It’s Christmas time so why not try mulled wine or chocolate kiss cookies in the Christmas market in front of St George’s Hall?

If you want to go out for a meal, you can have a very glamorous one in Cosy Club on Paradise Street. This is what they say about the interior design of their restaurant on their website “Did you know that our golden chandeliers above the restaurant are made by the same company who produce them for Game of Thrones? The perfect talking point over dinner.”

If you want to try some British food, we would recommend the Great British Kitchen in city centre.

The Cambridge Pub has very nice decorations during Christmas and it’s very close to school as well. Why not meet up with other students and have a drink in the pub? Remember that you’re all here to learn English while enjoying your time!

Most of us love trying ice sports in winter, so why not head to our iconic Pierhead and try UK’s largest ice slide in Liverpool Ice Festival? Check out their Instagram page, liverpoolchristmasicefestival to get a free ride when they offer it.

We also have an incredible installation by local multi-media experts, Kazimier Productions on the streets of Liverpool – Bold Street, Church Street, Lord Street, Castle Street and Williamson Square. Just look up to the sky to see powerful lasers shine. It runs every 30 minutes so don’t forget to make a wish when you see them. We will wish for you too when we see them!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Lots of love from LSE.
