We have 26 large, fully-equipped classrooms throughout the school. These are all bright, well-lit rooms with layouts specially designed with communicative lessons in mind.
Our classrooms are equipped with interactive whiteboards and TVs and many now have 84” Smart TVs. This range of equipment supports our teachers to deliver interactive and dynamic lessons. Wi-Fi is available throughout the school for students to access on their own devices. We also have 2 computer suites which are available for students to use to complete homework, browse the internet or keep in touch with friends and family at home.
We have two study centres in the school, one is on the first floor and the other is on the second floor. The second floor Study Centre has computers linked to LSe-Learning and other helpful websites so that students can practise their English online during their free time. If you want to study a particular skill online your teacher will gladly point you in the right direction of a good website or you can follow our social media to find the best new articles or sites around.
This is a fantastic social space where students can relax between lessons and spend time getting to know their classmates. It’s a great place to be at break times chatting to new friends over a cup of coffee. Many students choose to spend their lunchtimes here, eating their meals whilst hanging out and practising their English. Here you can play ping pong or table football, use the Wi-Fi and even challenge your friends to a game on the Wii or the PS4. We hold regular games afternoons and table tennis competitions in the common room which is a great way to make friends and have some fun.

If you want to practise your English with your friends you can also go to the Study Centres during breaktimes.
The Word Exchange Café (EPS)
You can buy a range of food and drinks in the café which is open daily from 8:30-15:00.
We’re particularly proud of our garden here at the school. It’s a great place to spend your free time; getting some fresh air and enjoying the beautiful surroundings. Sitting on one of the benches looking at all the plants, flowers and the beautiful blossom tree, it’s easy to forget you are in the middle of the city.
If you want to smoke, please do not smoke in the school garden as this is an enclosed area. There is a designated smoking area opposite the school so please keep our garden beautiful and smoke free!
Reading and watching films is a great way to improve your English and to keep practicing outside the classroom. Our lending library will help you to expand your vocabulary and increase your listening and reading skills.
Our library has over 100 graded penguin readers and 200 DVDs for you to borrow. You can borrow up to 3 items in total at any time, but you will need to leave a £10 deposit. When you bring your items back you can get your deposit back, or take new items out instead.
In Room 19 we have a prayer room which is open to people of all faiths and a prep room next door.
The Student Helpdesk
At the Student Helpdesk you can sign up for our support classes, social programme activities or ask for general information.
