WHAT IS IT?

Smithdown Road Festival is a completely free festival that takes place over 17 outdoor and indoor stages across the Wavertree area of South Liverpool. Now into its 4th year, it has become a famous and much-loved feature within the Merseyside festival calendar. The best part? It is completely FREE ENTRY to all events over the weekend!

WHEN/WHERE IS IT?

Taking place during the May Bank Holiday weekend of the 4th – 7th May, you can enjoy four days packed with entertainment! Not only are you guaranteed the enjoyment of numerous music and artistic performances, you will also be discovering new, exciting venues within the city! Smithdown road is home to a lot of cool, independent bars, pubs, cafes and restaurants you will be unfortunate to miss out on!

WHAT IS HAPPENING?

There will be 15 indoor stages, plus 2 huge outdoor stages too. As well a street food market and a pop up cinema and theatre. This means incredible live music, comedy, theatre and cinema all weekend long for no cost at all!

WHO IS PERFORMING?

This year’s headliners include SPACE, JOHN POWER, KRAFTY KUTS, BEARDYMAN, TURBOWOLF, SCARLET, STEALING SHEEP, STRANGE COLLECTIVE and SILENT K… amongst many, many others!

TRAVEL BY BUS: The easiest way to travel to Smithdown road from the centre of town is via bus NO. 89, 89A, 89C. Catch the bus from Liverpool One bus station, or close to LSE on Renshaw Street or Leece Street.

 

Remember, Smithdown Road is very a long road! Be sure to make plans in advance regarding which venue you wish to visit! Most importantly, have the best time!
