Homestay

Host family or homestay accommodation means you stay with people in their home, as part of the family. You have breakfast and evening meal with them, talk about your day, take part in social activities with them. Homestay hosts may be older people whose children have left home, they may be a full family with children, they may be a younger couple or single people: We have over 200 hosts in the city, so we will always try to place you in a suitable home.

We listen to you preferences (some people don't like pets or children, for example) and we can also cater for special diets, e.g. vegetarian or halal.

Our homestay office in the school spend a lot of time and care finding our host families and Teresa, our homestay co-ordinator, is in school every day in case you have any problems or difficulties.

Host families are:

Good for short stays
A great way to practise your language outside the classroom
A chance to immerse yourself in British culture

Most host families are around 30 minutes by bus or train from the school. We have no host families in the city centre.
You have your own private single bedroom.
Very few homestays have a private/en suite bathroom.
Breakfast and evening meals are eaten with the family every day.
All families have been visited by the school and had a security check.

The cost of a host family is £110 per week.

Our homesday accommodation is limited during our busiest period July and August but we do have plenty of residential accommodation available in flats and houses within walking distance from the school.

I’ve been in the school for nearly a year, I chose Liverpool to learn English because I knew I would enjoy the city and the people a lot. The people are very friendly. I would definitely recommend the school to a friend, it is the best school in England
