Where is the school located?
The school is located in the centre of Liverpool near Liverpool John Moores and Liverpool University. Click here for more information and maps.
 
Is the school accredited?
We are accredited by the British Council.
 
Is there a library at the school?
We have a quiet study area which has books, magazines and the daily papers.
 
Is there a café at the school?
No, but there are cafés, restaurants and bars conveniently located within one minute’s walk from the school. There are two cafes serving international food right next to the school.
 
Can we receive mail at the school?
Yes, we will be happy to pass on your mail.
 
Can we send or receive faxes?
Yes, but there will be a small charge to cover the cost.
 
Is it possible to use the Internet?
We provide internet linked computers for you to check your emails, to use the Internet and to stay in touch with your friends and family. It is possible to use Skype if the student provides their own headset - ask at the office for cheap options. A wi-fi connection is available in certain parts of the school. Please ask at the school office for the password.
 
What nationality and ages are the students at the school?
We have students of many nationalities. We have students from Asia, Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Most of our students are between 17 and 30 but we have students of all ages.
 
Do you supply a student discount card?
We can arrange an ISIC card for you. You will need to bring a passport sized photo. It costs £9 but provides many discounts and offers.
 
How many students do you have at the school?
In the summer we are busy with around 200 students; at other times there are between 80 and 100 students at the school.
 
What can I do if I want to complain?
If you have any problems with your course or accommodation, we are very happy to help you in any way we can: You can discuss the problem with your teacher. We also have a Student Liaison Officer who is available everyday in the common room at break time to help resolve any problems that you may have. The Director of Studies is available every day also. Complaint forms are available from the office. If you are still not happy we are also accredited by the British Council and English UK
 
I want to come when the Beatles Festival is on. Is this possible?
Yes, we run courses during the time of the Beatles Festival, which is on for three days in August, every year. It is a very busy time so we would ask you to book well in advance.
